Inspired by These Garden Theme Prom Ideas

The best prom theme ideas incorporate classic elegance with whimsical fun, making for a memorable evening for everyone. Prom themes can be tricky: You've got to please a whole class of students, and not everyone will agree. Prom committee meetings can involve heated discussions about whether Under the Sea will make for prettier decorating than Enchanted Garden. Garden parties are ideal for all occasions. A garden party is the perfect theme for budget weddings, as well as bridal showers(Bridal Shower Changed in Recent Years), birthdays or just entertaining friends. How about a Garden Themed Prom Party? What are your green themed ideas?

Make Your Guy Look Hot on Prom!

A Young Man’s Guide to Prom

High school guys aren't typically known for their sense of style. They are known for burping, crude gestures, saying horribly inappropriate things, and talking endlessly about girls and sports. So, you should make your guy look hot on prom party.

When it comes to prom, there are generally two groups of people: those that think "Prom is awesome! I'm really excited to go," and those that grouse, "Prom is sooo lame. What a waste of time." Really, both groups are right. Prom can be a fun and memorable night, or it can be a big letdown. The difference doesn't come from prom itself, but what you make of it. Special nights don't just happen–you create them.

The most important thing for staying stylish for prom is to keep it simple. The most timeless stylish men of the last 50 years, Gary Cooper, Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart kept it simple. Avoid gigantic lapels and multicolored jackets. Go with a basic black tuxedo with peak or notched lapels. In most places in the U.S. prom is a black tie affair, so that means you'll need a tuxedo. For most men these days, whether young or old, life gives you very few chances to wear a tux–so enjoy it! Guys don't necessarily need killer dress shoes to complete their prom ensemble! He can still look cool rocking his everyday Chucks and have a great time dancing the night away in comfort.
Skinny Ties

Skinny Ties

Guys can never go wrong with a skinny tie. They have a retro look that's totally back in style! Solid colored ties make for easier gown-matching, but one with a graphic pattern works just as well—as long as it falls within your same color scheme.

Accessorize During Photo Time
Remind you guy to bring out his favorite glasses and other fun accessories during picture time! Accessories can make fun props that turn the awkward pre-prom pictures into an fun photo shoot. Prom pictures would be boring if all the guys looked the same! So you can ask your date to opt for a gray tux or a collared dress shirt instead.

For Guys: Feel free to go crazy with personal style. If you've got the stones for it, why not try going without both, that says confidence.

Prom Beauty Ideas: Eyes Make Up, Lips, Nails

Many girls make sure they have the perfect dress with the perfect shoes and the perfect hair. But in the makeup department, they fall flat. This means you'll get a new hairstyle, a new dress, new shoes, and probably some new jewelry. And to top off her new look, many young ladies get artificial nails.

Freida Pinto’s smoky eye

Smoky Eye and Shadows
A classic prom night staple, the smoky eye is easy to do and looks great on almost anyone. Use lots of dark eyeshadow, eyeliner, and lots of dark mascara. Make sure you apply the eyeliner close to the lash line and smudge liberally to thicken the line. Using different shades of foundation can help you create the illusion of a thinner face, brighter eyes, or perfect nose. Use a light colored eyeshadow or foundation at the inner corners of your eyes to create the illusion of wider spaced eyes.

Lip Color

Lip Color
The lip color you wear at prom will vary according to the look you want to achieve, the colors that are currently in style, and how you apply the rest of your makeup. If you decide to go with the smoky eye, opt for a less dramatic lip. Heavy eye makeup paired with heavy lipstick often results in an overly made-up look. However, if you opt for a lighter eye makeup application, go ahead and play up those full red lips.

Polka Dot Artificial Nails By California Nails

Artificial Nails for Prom
Depending on the look you choose for prom, you might want a more elaborate style of nail. You can choose from solid colors that pop or from a variety of different designs that you can match with your outfit or contrast to your outfit. Artificial nails salons have so many different designs to choose from that it's almost impossible not to find something that you will like and that will go with your dress perfectly. Artificial nails are incredibly popular these days, and not very expensive. For under $50 you can usually have a full set applied. The nails are firmly applied and will last through prom night with no problem. The only thing to remember is that if you're choosing to go with artificial nails from a salon, make sure that you select a reputable salon with licensed nail technicians.
